UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a 20 amino acid polyglutamine tract (derived from the pros gene) tagged with Tag:HA. The polyglutamine tract is flanked by 8 amino acids (MGGPPSTP) on the N-terminal side and 13 amino acids on the C-terminal side (TSRTYPYDVPDYA).

Scer\GAL4elav-C155-driven expression of Zzzz\CAG20Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 does not have any adverse effect on survival or longevity of flies.

Expression of Zzzz\CAG20Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1, under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF, does not result in any eye phenotype. The ommatidia and axonal projections in Zzzz\CAG20Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF mutants are organised as in wild-type.

Expression of Zzzz\CAG20Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 in the developing eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not generate a phenotypic, morphological change.

Expression of Zzzz\CAG20Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 in the developing nervous system under the control of Scer\GAL4Appl.G1a does not generate a phenotypic, morphological change.
