At the restrictive temperature of 29oC, maliMBT tldMBT yetiMBT spzMBT mutants show 100% lethality during the third larval instar. Third instar larvae have brain tumours of undifferentiated tissue. If these animals are rescued with tld+t12, they show 100% pupal lethality and hyperplastic brains at the restrictive temperature.
