    Description

    24bp deletion in the syd transcription unit at an intron/exon boundary. As a result, intron splicing fails, causing a premature stop codon to be encoded after amino acid 514 (just N terminal to the predicted transmembrane region). The premature stop codon truncates the protein by 58% of its length.
