      Lethal and tumour inducing over the MBT chromosome. Homozygotes show the formation of large melanotic tumours. Gaps in somatic pairing are seen in the polytene chromosomes of heterozygous salivary glands. Heterozygotes show resistance to 5mM hydroxyurea and to 1mM methyl methanesulfonate.
