RafΔ315.hs partially rescues Raf11
Expression of phlΔ315.hs in phl11/Y embryos which lack both maternal and zygotic phl function rescues 1% of the embryos so that they resemble embryos which lack maternal but not zygotic phl function (having a "torso" phenotype). 81% of embryos are twisted and have faint cuticles with narrow denticle belts. The Keilin's organs are missing and there is a corresponding expansion in the size of ventral black dot material. The distance between the ventral black dots is increased compared to wild type. The distance between the ventral and dorsal black dots is decreased compared to wild type. 16% of embryos show no rescue.
