F to A mutation is in the RNP2 motif of the RRM2 (RNA recognition motif 2) domain. In addition, the first two cysteines within the RTZF (retroviral-type zinc finger) domain are mutated to tyrosines.

      lark1 animals rescued by larkRRM2+RTZF.T:Ivir\HA1 have scutellar bristle defects (97% penetrance) and an abnormal wing phenotype (94% penetrance). lark1 homozygotes carrying larkRRM2+RTZF.T:Ivir\HA1 have normal free-running eclosion rhythms.
