71-78% of embryos expressing oskM1R in a oskA87/Df(3R)p-XT103 background hatch. The unhatched embryos develop cuticles with patterning defects; 50% have posterior defects, 25-30% have anterior defects and 20-25% have both posterior and anterior defects. 49-54% of females derived from the embryos that hatch have wild-type ovaries, while 40-51% have rudimentary ovaries. 84-91% of embryos expressing both oskM1R and oskM139L in a oskA87/Df(3R)p-XT103 background hatch. The unhatched embryos develop cuticles without obvious patterning defects. 100% of females derived from the embryos that hatch have wild-type ovaries.
