      Flies expressing Hsap\MYOCScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF show intermittent fluid discharge from the eye. The flies show a progressive decline in phototactic behaviour as they age.

      Eyes expressing Hsap\MYOCScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF show periodic discharge of liquid from their eyes. Droplets are observed emerging from focal regions of the eye, as well as large wet areas that dry to a crusty residue. The ommatidia are distorted and have convex boundaries. In some cases, presumably after fluid extrusion, the eye has a dimpled area under which the ommatidia appear normal.
