Description

An eve basal promoter, starting at -42bp and continuing through codon 22 is fused in frame to lacZ. A genomic DNA fragment containing the gt posterior enhancer (located between -2.7 and -1.6kb upstream of the gt transcriptional start) is inserted in its native orientation upstream of the eve basal promoter.
