The distance between wing veins 3 and 4 is significantly reduced compared to wild type in flies expressing β4GalT7^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} under the control of Scer\GAL4^ptc-559.1. The distance between wing veins 3 and 4 is weakly reduced compared to wild type in flies expressing β4GalT7^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} under the control of Scer\GAL4^sd-SG29.1. The dorsal compartment of the wing is reduced in size in flies expressing β4GalT7^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} under the control of Scer\GAL4^ap-md544. The loss of tissue is more pronounced toward the edges of the wing, and wing vein 2 is completely lost from the dorsal surface of the wing. The posterior compartment of the wing is reduced in size in flies expressing β4GalT7^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} under the control of Scer\GAL4^en-e16E. The loss of tissue is most pronounced between the posterior edge of the wing and wing vein 5. The legs are truncated distally in flies expressing β4GalT7^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Dll-md23. Distal truncations are seen in about 15% of legs in flies expressing β4GalT7^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} under the control of Scer\GAL4^da.G32.
