Overexpression of katanin-60^UY1645 in the hindgut epithelium (under the control of Scer\GAL4^NP2432) does not affect the laterality of this organ.

(Taniguchi et al., 2007)

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4^7B, katanin-60^UY1645 shows a mushroom body Class II phenotype; neuron number defects plus axonal growth and guidance defects. Alpha-lobes are shortened.
