      Expression of vnΔMR93-213.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4cb41 in follicle cell clones results in border cell misguidance.

      Adult escapers expressing vnΔMR93-213.Scer\UAS (from a weak P{UAS-vn.ΔMR93-213} insertion line) under the control of Scer\GAL471B have a strong extra vein phenotype in the wing. Animals expressing vnΔMR93-213.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4bs-1348 generally have a strong extra vein phenotype in the wing and wing blisters. Co-expression of vnΔEGF.Scer\UAS in animals expressing vnΔMR93-213.Scer\UAS (from a weak P{UAS-vn.ΔMR93-213} insertion line) under the control of Scer\GAL471B results in more animals surviving to adulthood and a reduction in the extra wing vein phenotype seen in these animals.
