Expression of ppkdsRNA.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4ppk.PG significantly reduces turning frequency (locomotor defects) in third instar larvae.

Expression of ppkdsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4109(2)80 results in defects in crawling behaviour in wandering larvae; the larvae show an increase in the time percentage spent on linear locomotion compared to controls and the duration of the linear locomotion is increased. The average direction change (direction change is defined as the difference in direction from one frame to the next in the analysis) is reduced compared to controls.
