      S2 cells overexpressing eIF-4BL.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act show increased cell proliferation. In adults where overexpression of eIF-4BL.Scer\UAS is driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF, the eye shows disarray of its patterned structure, increased size of ommatidia and extra chaetae.
