Expression of Mmus\Tshz2 cDNA (Genbank: AF207880) in which the ORF is fused in frame to the epitope tag Tag:MYC, is under the control of UASt sequences.
eye | ectopic, with Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1
Changes in cuticle pattern indicate that in Mmus\Sdccag33lScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC; Scer\GAL469B embryos, the labial segment is partially transformed to T1 and the antennal and maxillary head segments are transformed towards a trunk identity in that they develop denticles and naked cuticle. About one third of Mmus\Sdccag33Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC; Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 flies have an ectopic eye ventral to one or both of their eyes, whereas about 15% of Mmus\Sdccag33lScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC; Scer\GAL4ey.PH flies have no eyes at all.
Scer\GAL469B/Mmus\Tshz2UAS.Tag:MYC is a suppressor of visible | segment polarity expression pattern phenotype of tsh8
Scer\GAL469B/Mmus\Tshz2UAS.Tag:MYC is a suppressor of embryonic labial segment | ectopic phenotype of tsh8
Scer\GAL469B/Mmus\Tshz2UAS.Tag:MYC is a suppressor of embryonic prothoracic segment phenotype of tsh8
Scer\GAL469B/Mmus\Tshz2UAS.Tag:MYC is a suppressor of embryonic/first instar larval cuticle phenotype of tsh8
At 22 degrees C, the presence of Mmus\Sdccag33lScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC and Scer\GAL469B leads to little or no rescue of the segment transformations apparent in the cuticle phenotype of tsh8/tsh8 embryos. However, at 29 degrees C this phenotype is partially rescued.
