      Expression of Iap2dsRNA.hs using heat shock has no effect on viability in embryos or first or second instar larvae. Animals in which Iap2dsRNA.hs is expressed using sequential 30 minute heat shock at 4 and 8 hours after puparium formation (APF) show normal cell death in the larval salivary glands during pupation and the animals survive to adulthood.
