      The initial stages of tracheal development are normal in mmyH053 mutants until tube formation. Stage 14 embryos show correct migration of the tracheal cells but disorganization of these cells compared to wild type. At stage 15, some of the tracheal cells are found in bubble-like structures. By stage 16, mmyH053 embryos show an irregular dorsal trunk of variable width with a lumen that displays constrictions, breaks and dilations.
