UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of an Ephrin fragment with a deletion, which is tagged in-frame to 6 copies of the Tag:MYC epitope. The Ephrin deletion corresponds to the intracellular amino acid residues 611 to 652 in the expressed protein.
Expression of EphrinΔIC.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC in the midline glia of embryos, driven by Scer\GAL4sim.PS, leads to the failure of many commissural axons to cross the midline and form normal commissures.
