      In crosses of mfrZ3281/Df(3L)h-i22 males to wild-type females, 92% of eggs are inseminated in comparison to controls. The sperm undergo nuclear condensation and reach the pronuclear apposition stage, but fail to progress beyond this stage.

      Egg patterning is not affected in mfrZ3281/Df(3L)h-i22 females.
