UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Adults expressing DoaGD16021 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in a weak flyer phenotype.
Expression of DoaGD16021 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 is lethal at 29[o]C. Flies are viable at 25[o]C and no phenotypes are observed. Occasional ectopic wings are seen when DoaGD16021 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH at either 25[o]C or 29[o]C.
Female flies expressing DoaGD16021 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF at 29[o]C have rough shiny eyes. At 25[o]C disrupted interommatidial bristles are seen at the posterior eye margin. Very few phenotypes are seen in male flies.
