      Expression of srA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL469B results in a severe disruption of somatic muscle pattern in embryos. Additionally, 52% of these embryos show arrest of germ band retraction and alteration of cell shape in the ectoderm. Embryos of this genotype that do undergo germ band retraction also show muscle pattern defects.
