      Ommatidial clusters containing R3/R4 pairs which are mosaic for dgosev.PJ and that show either a chirality inversion or adopt a symmetrical R3/R3 arrangement always carry dgosev.PJ in the R4 precursor that develops as an R3.

      Ommatidia carrying two copies of dgosev.PJ in both R3 and R4 precursors often adopt a symmetrical R3/R3 fate.
