Meiotic spindles of females homozygous for ncdnk11.T:Avic\GFP-S65T in a ncd1 background do not differ significantly in overall appearance from those seen in females homozygous for ncdT:Avic\GFP-S65T in a ncd1 background.

Early cleavage spindles and division kinetics are normal in embryos homozygous for ncdnk11.T:Avic\GFP-S65T in a ncd1 background. The pole-to-pole length of mitotic spindles at metaphase is greater in these embryos than in embryos homozygous for ncdT:Avic\GFP-S65T in a ncd1 background and the difference in length increased at anaphase. The anaphase spindles of embryos homozygous for ncdnk11.T:Avic\GFP-S65T in a ncd1 background frequently appear bent.
