Description

Imprecise excision of the insertion in G-iα65AKG01907, resulting in a deletion that removes nucleotides -388 to +975 of G-iα65A (relative to the transcription start site). This deletion also removes part of the 3' region of CR32385 (a gene in the first intron of G-iα65A that has no detectable open reading frame).

Homozygotes are viable and fertile, although weak.

Neuroblasts in stage 9-10 mutant embryos divide into more equal-size daughter cells than wild-type neuroblasts. The number of EL neurons per hemisegment is reduced compared to wild type.
