Mutants show no obvious defects in the overall development of the central nervous system, muscles or peripheral nervous system. fendB23/Df(1)18.1.15 larvae show defects in the innervation pattern of muscle 12; the terminal branch is often accompanied by additional varicosities on the neighbouring muscle 13 (22.7% of hemisegments).
