        Mutant males show a slight, but significant, reduction in sex-comb tooth number compared to controls. In addition, in approximately 20% of legs, the teeth of the sex comb are tightly packed relative to wild type and the proximal teeth of the comb are often placed at a lesser angle than the other teeth, causing a slight curve at the top.
