Expression of Mes4^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.WIZ} under the control of Scer\GAL4^GMR.PS, Scer\GAL4^ey.PH, Scer\GAL4^en-e16E or Scer\GAL4^Act5C produces no detectable mutant phenotype.

Expression of Mes4^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.WIZ} under the control of Scer\GAL4^ap-md544 results in an upwards curved wing.

Expression of a single copy of Mes4^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.WIZ} under the control of Scer\GAL4^tub results in an atrophied wing. Expression of two copies of Mes4^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.WIZ} under the control of Scer\GAL4^tub results in embryonic lethality.

Expression of of Mes4^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.WIZ} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Bx-MS1096 results in an atrophied wing. Wing discs of these animals show increased BrdU signals in the wing pouch compared to controls.
