External sensory organ cells that are expressing numb^{PTB.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^tub and are also homozygous for seq^A41 acquire a socket fate.

Homozygous seq^A41 clones in the thorax generated in N^l1N-ts1 animals grown at the restrictive temperature generate socket cells within the clone.
