UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of Rpn5KK100873 under the control of Scer\GAL4c564 blocks the normal inflammatory response to both Gram-positive (assessed by the expression levels of Drosomycin) and Gram-negative (assessed by the expression levels of Diptericin) bacterial infection, but has no significant effect in basal (non-infected) conditions, as compared to controls; adulthood-only expression (temporally regulated by Gal80[ts]) blocks the normal inflammatory response to both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infection, as compared to controls.
