      Expression of ApplKK102543 under the control of Scer\GAL4VT064246 (using tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the expression to adulthood) results in significantly reduced middle- as well as long-term memory compared to controls (tested in an aversive olfactory memory assay 2hr and 24hr post-training, respectively), but their learning performance is not affected.

      After 48 hours of RU feeding, Scer\GAL4Mef2.247.Switch driven expression of ApplKK102543 results in flies that exhibit a STM deficit. This deficit is only observed when the flies are fed with RU to induce RNAi expression.
