UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of Hsp26KK106347 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 leads to significant locomotor defects in third instar larvae, but not in adults, and leads to the neuromuscular junctions of third instar larval muscles 6/7 exhibiting decreases in the number and size of terminal boutons, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 leads to no obvious locomotor defects in third instar larvae or adults, and expression under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH leads to no obvious eye defects in adults, as compared to controls.
Co-expression of Hsp26KK106347 further reduces the size of the eye in a WAla5.GMR, AckScer\UAS.cSb, Scer\GAL4GMR.PU background.
