UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of Coa8KK108512 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI results in adults that reach the adult stage and have a similar lifespan to controls; there are no alterations in mitochondrial morphology in the thoracic muscle, compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 does not cause any alterations in mitochondrial morphology in the brain, compared to controls; expression under the control of either Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI or Scer\GAL4elav-C155 significantly reduces adult locomotor activity, climbing ability and survival under oxidative stress (paraquat), compared to controls.
