Expression of Pits^KK108903 under the control of Scer\GAL4^nSyb.PS leads to a progressive decrease in climbing ability, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^ninaE.PT induces to a progressive disorganization of the ommatidia, photoreceptor loss and an abnormal accumulation of lipid droplets in photoreceptors, as compared to controls.
