When single cells in the developing retina are made rst^IR.Scer\UAS Scer\GAL4^Act5C.PI (by FLP out) interommatidial precursor cells (IPCs) are selectively lost from the ratio of rst^IR.Scer\UAS Scer\GAL4^Act5C.PI primary precursors to rst^IR.Scer\UAS Scer\GAL4^Act5C.PI IPCs at 42 hours APF is 1:1 rather than the 2:1 seen in wild-type.
