      Expression of CycAΔ.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 results in females in which most germaria are either empty or filled with very few differentiated germ cells.

      Females expressing CycAΔ.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 which are raised at 18[o]C until eclosion and then shifted to 25[o]C show a severe reduction in the average number of germline stem cells per germarium 1 day after eclosion.
