      Photoreceptor axons do not project correctly in the optic lobe of enokQ253 eye-brain complexes in third instar larvae, while the photoreceptor cells themselves are appropriately specified.

      Dorsal Ecol\lacZbi.T:Btau\MAPT-marked axons project aberrantly to the ventral region of the optic lobe in enokQ253 whole-eye Scer\FLP1ey.PN clones in third instar larvae. (Ventral axons mistargeting to dorsal regions is not seen.)

      enokQ253 eyes are sometimes reduced in size.
