      The population size of hemocytes is normal in mutant embryos. However, the level of phagocytosis occurring in hemocytes of mutant embryos is almost half that of control hemocytes.

      repo-positive glial cells show a reduced level of phagocytosis in mutant embryos compared to wild-type embryos.
