      Males depleted for Spn53F, through expression of Spn53FdsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL, do not significantly differ from controls in the overall number of eggs laid.

      The fertility of females mated to Spn53FdsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS-Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL males does not differ significantly from controls.

      Females mated to Spn53FdsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS-Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL males show low receptivity to re-mating 24 hours after the initial mating.
