Embryos expressing sanoScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS have shortened dorsal trunks that fail to connect (the fusion cells connecting adjacent segments of the dorsal trunk contact each other basally, but the tracheal lumens and apical membranes are discontinuous.
Expression of sanoScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4sage.PV reduces salivary gland lumenal length in stage 16 embryos.
Cells in clones expressing sanoScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act in pupal wings are smaller than neighbouring wild-type cells and often have a pentagonal rather than hexagonal shape. The cells have smaller apical domains than neighbouring wild-type cells.
Prehair formation is delayed in clones expressing sanoScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act in pupal wings at 32 hours after puparium formation (APF). At 33-34 hours APF, prehairs the same size as surrounding wild-type hairs are seen in the mutant clones, but they have altered polarity. Multiple wing hairs are sometimes seen. Wild-type wing hairs near some of the clones expressing sanoScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act sometimes show non-autonomous polarity defects. These non-autonomous defects are seen when the mutant clones map either between veins 3 and 4 distal to the anterior crossvein, or between veins 4 and 5 distal to the posterior crossvein.
