UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of rkJF02678 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 does not affect the expected increase in food consumption induced by dietary amino acids, as observed in controls.
Expression of rkJF02678 (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL does not disrupt the growth inhibition undamaged (anterior) tissues - eye discs - in third instar larvae (104 hr after egg laying, AEL) following targeted irradiation (limited to posterior tissues and administered in late second instar, at 80 hr AEL) which is observed in wild-type larvae, however the developmental delay the regenerative growth of damaged tissues produces is significantly longer than in controls.
Expression of rkJF02678 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU in adult females does not affect locomotor activity in fed conditions, compared to controls; like controls, locomotor activity is significantly increased under starvation conditions.
