Description

Imprecise excision of P{PZ}Snr101319 results in an approximate 1.8kb deletion, removing about two-thirds of the Hdac3 coding region (breaking at codon 145 within the HDAC catalytic domain) plus all Snr1 DNA 3' to the original insertion.

Comment:

~1.8kb deletion resulting from the imprecise excision of P{PZ}Snr101319. One boundary is in Snr1 and one is in HDAC3. The boundary within HDAC3 was reported as breaking at codon 145 and is approximate.

Heterozygosity for Hdac36C leads to strong suppression of the eye colour variegation found in In(1)wm4 mutants.

Hdac36C/Rpd33-10 double mutants show complete suppression of In(1)wm4 eye colour variegation.

The presence of Snr1+t8.9 does not suppress the small disc phenotype found in Hdac36C homozygous third instar wandering larvae.
