        Mutant flies seem essentially normal at room temperature (20-22[o]C), but when shifted to 37[o]C, homozygotes and daob4/daog1 animals show seizure-like behaviour with bouts of uncontrolled flight motor activity followed by paralysis.

        Intracellular recordings from mutant dorsal longitudinal muscles show bursts of spontaneous activity at 37[o]C.
