UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of Hsap\TOR1A.
Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL>Hsap\TOR1AScer\UAS.cKa flies show significant resistance to paraquat but no difference to hydrogen peroxide, compared to controls.
Flies expressing Hsap\TOR1AScer\UAS.cKa in muscles (under the control of Scer\GAL4C57) or in neurons (Scer\GAL4elav-C155) do not show any locomotor behavior impairment when exposed to high temperatures (38[o]C) compared with controls.
Flies expressing Hsap\TOR1AScer\UAS.cKa in all neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 or ubiquitously under the control of Scer\GAL4alphaTub84B.PL show relatively normal locomotor behaviour compared to controls flies when subjected to a 38[o]C temperature shift for 10 minutes, and locomotive behaviour is not affected by age.
