      Expression of mir-iab-8Scer\UAS.cSa.T:Disc\RFP-DsRed2 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in a clear homeotic transformation of halteres to wings; the halteres develop sense organs characteristic of the wing margin and increase in size severalfold.
