Description

UASp regulatory sequences drive expression of the N-terminal portion of Rbf (amino acid residues 1-345) which is tagged at the C-terminal end with Tag:V5 and mCherry. The Rbf sequence also contains the mis-sense mutation K241E.

      Expression of RbfN.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mCherry,T:SV5\V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU does not result in any detectable changes in DNA replication patterns in the follicle cells during endoreplication or chorion gene amplification (as assayed by BrdU labelling). The follicle cells show no significant difference in ploidy content compared to controls (as assayed by flow cytometry analysis).

      Expression of RbfN.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-mCherry,T:SV5\V5 under the control of either Scer\GAL4ey.PH or Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not result in any obvious mutant phenotype in the adult eye.
