      Transgenic larvae expressing cardsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Act5C develop into the pupal stage, but only 4.4% survive to adulthood. Eye-specific clones expressing cardsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Act5C exhibit an obvious reduction in eye pigmentation.
