UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a mutated form of salr in which the IKED and IVKE sumoylation motifs are mutated to IKEA and IKVA respectively. The protein is tagged at the N-terminal end with EYFP.

      Expression of salrIKEA.IKVA.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EYFP under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv results in ectopic wing vein material in the L2-L3 intervein region and a general reduction in wing size (the phenotype is stronger than that caused by expression of salrScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EYFP under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv).
