      XNP5/XNP5 (but not XNP5/+) suppresses the variegation of the w locus which is seen in the In(1)wm4h chromosome.

      XNP5/XNP5 suppresses the variegation of the w locus which is seen in the P{hsp26-pt-T}39C-5 and P{lacW}50C.x6 insertion lines.

      XNP5/XNP5 does not suppress the variegation of the y and w loci which is seen in the P{SUPor-P}KV161 insertion line.
