Expression of ltlScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 results in an approximately 20% reduction in wing size compared with controls. The posterior crossvein is completely eliminated and the anterior crossvein is eliminated or disrupted.
Expression of ltlScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E causes a reduction in wing size and loss of the posterior crossvein.
ltlUAS.cSa is a suppressor of visible phenotype of cv-21
ltlUAS.cSa is a suppressor of posterior crossvein phenotype of cv-21
Two copies of P{UAS-ltl.S}5 (which allow leaky expression of ltlScer\UAS.cSa in the absence of a Scer\GAL4 driver) fully restore the posterior crossvein in 45% of wings of cv-21/cv-21 animals.
Co-expression of ltlScer\UAS.cSa and cv-2Scer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in additive effects on wing size reduction and synergistic effects on wing patterning, including deletions of vein L4 in the proximity of the presumptive posterior crossvein.
