pUf68NIG.12085R flip-out clones exhibit increased cell death.

Wing disc clones expressing pUf68NIG.12085R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP display extensive cell death. Accumulation of cells under the basal lamina in the wing pouch is observed.

Expression of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa in wing disc clones expressing pUf68NIG.12085R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP results in large rounded cells 72 hours after clone induction. These enlarged cells are removed from the apical surface of the wind disc epithelium and extruded basally, and all mutant cells undergo cell death. Increased nucleolar size is observed in these cells.

Increased nucleolar size observed in cells expressing BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa and pUf68NIG.12085R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP is suppressed by co-expression of hayGD4213.
